The Peck Parents at Park Güell

After shopping for dinner at the market we walked to Park Güell (Remember our previous walk to Park Güell? We did take a slightly less treacherous route this time, but it was still very uphill.). Tabitha's parents were warned that we live in a hilly place and they did their best to get into shape before coming to Spain.  However they claim that the "hills" in Ohio just don't even compare. After the 30-minute walk we arrived at beautiful Park Güell.

It was a long walk so we rested when we first got to the park.

A cool stone wall...

...continued.

Hanging out under a walkway,
listening to a Medieval lute-ish instrument.

More intriguing stone walkways.

The main entrance.

Max (and Dave) leads the way...

Gaudi was often inspired by nature.
Here the stone wall is formed like a cresting wave.

Mmmm...gingerbread house.

Mmmm...pointy gingerbread house.

The "angelic" parents.

On the return home we came across a parade for Carnivale!
The Catalans appear to have a weird obsession with poop
and even have people dressed as poop and flies in their parades!

And now onto Sagrada Familia for some more Gaudi action...
