A Visit from the Peck Parents

We have our first visitors staying at "Max's Bed and Breakfast."  Tabitha's parents are in Barcelona and are wearing us out!  So, for those of you who will be visiting, or those of you who are considering visiting, the next few blog posts are going to be a highlight of Barcelona through the eyes of tourists (which we basically are).

We decided to show Tabitha's parents around town to give them a glimpse of our daily lives, so we took them to our local market to buy some dinner.  However, it was Carnival!  Apparently this means that the market becomes a party and everyone is dancing, singing, and wearing costumes.  There were also balloons and music (including "Old McDonald" in Spanish!).  Tabitha's parents now think that a typical trip to the market includes:

...many adorable little kids in costumes...
 ... a fishmonger slicing up a fish
while wearing a rabbit costume ...
... our favorite poultry stand where we purchased our
Thanksgiving turkey...
(yes, that is a rabbit on the scale)
... and, a man in a chicken suit!

Then we then walked to Park Güell...
