Paris - Day 1

We decided to visit Paris for a few days on our way to Scotland to visit Dave's family for Christmas.  We were lucky to make it into Paris because Europe was in the middle of a blizzard.  Many flights were canceled, but fortunately our flight got out of Barcelona and only arrived a couple of hours late.

It was cold and snowy most of the time we were in Paris, which is not necessarily ideal weather for walking around.  However, it was really cool to see snow in Paris, and the lines for the sites were much shorter than usual!  We had a great time, even though we did have to stop to enjoy some chocolat chaud and café au lait occasionally to warm ourselves up!

We took many, many pictures, so to make it a little easier to read, we have posted some of our favorites as separate blog posts for each day we were in Paris.  Enjoy!

On our first full day in Paris we visited Montmartre, the highest point in the city, and stopped by Sacré Coeur and the Salvador Dali Museum.
