Star Wars, Orwell, and family. Oh my!

It has been a little while since our last post, but don't worry, we haven't just been eating delicious bread and cured meat.  We have also been shopping, reading, and hanging out with family!

Prat 1: Shopping.  We ventured into El Corte Ingles, a big department store in downtown Barcelona.  Although Dave was sad about shopping, he quickly cheered up when we found a Star Wars exhibition inside the store.

Part 2: Reading.  One thing that Dave really wanted to do while in Barcelona was go to George Orwell Square, drink a coffee, and read a good book.  DONE!

George Orwell fought in the Spanish Civil War and
wrote the wonderful book, "Homage to Catalonia."

George Orwell square + café + Don Quixote = happy Dave

Part 3: Family.  Dave's cousin Bill and his wife Anne came to visit us.  We had a great weekend with them, including eating tapas and riding the cable cars up Montjuïc.  We also found a little driving training course for mopeds.

There is a beautiful view of the city from the cable cars

Dave is protecting Barcelona from the top of Montjuïc

What is this? A driving course for ants?!?
